Fish’s Vintage Card Deals

Fisher Norris is in the early stages of rolling out Fish’s Vintage Card Deals, which is a tool “designed specifically for identifying underpriced vintage baseball, football, and basketball cards.” Fisher describes the service in this way:

“It has two main features: a Deal Finder that filters eBay listings to show cards priced below their recent average sales—like a Mickey Mantle or Jim Brown—and a Comp Finder that lets you quickly see the average of recent sales for a specific card in a particular condition or grade. I’ve found there’s really nothing else out there that streamlines this process for vintage cards in quite the same way. I’m still in the early stages of getting this tool in front of the right people, so I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback. If you’re curious, you can try it out with a 3-day free trial here.”

I will try to kick the tires soon and will report back! But this sounds like a potentially useful tool for active buyers.

Cuban Card Auction Coming Soon!

My pal Ryan Christoff is currently busy curating his summer auction at Cuban Baseball Auctions. While not limited only to Cuban cards, the focus is primarily on cards issued south of our border, whether Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, etc. All auctions feature heavily on players who played in American Negro Leagues. If you want to register to bid ahead of the next auction opening, register here and tell him Matt sent you.

I’ll post an auction preview once it is live. As a collector or almost exclusively Cuban and Negro Leaguer cards and memorabilia, this auction is my first go-to. And there are always lots for every budget, so if you are new to the market, you can dip your toes in for $100 or less, often.
