This is just a quick update due to multiple Hurricane Helene shipping delay questions I am receiving as admin of many vintage baseball card groups. I will update the story as needed.

1. Be patient. Many items are currently tracking only as “Delayed.” It will take several days for this backup to resolve.
Many hubs, especially in Florida, are still closed to incoming or outgoing shipments. I’ve received many messages that almost sound unaware that the U.S. just experienced a very major hurricane. At least 56 people have lost their lives due to Hurricane Helene, and as of this writing millions are still without power. Best wishes to all affected.
2. Widespread impact. The storm left widespread impact and you don’t necessarily need to live in an affected area to experience delays. The storm left a path of destruction nearly 700 miles wide.
USPS, UPS, and FedEx are all affected.

Update: Operations will resume today at several USPS sites. Hubs in Tampa, Fort Myers and Sarasota are on this list. Some packages routed to Orlando hubs and will be delayed.
