I see a lot of collectors, including myself wonder why cards not cut to size at a factory is considered “Authentic mini size not met.”
In my opinion, these cards deserve grading more than cards with writing or stain on them. Writing and stains on cards alter the card from its original state. These “minimum size” cards were cut by the manufacturer, packed in packs and opened in their true form. They were originally sold this way.
Will SGC ever decide these cards should be graded, especially the ones that is very clear all the factory cuts are still on the card?
I would be surprised if they changed their tune on that. SGC is nothing if not consistent, and making a change would mean having to go back and regrade a lot of cards and would open up a can of worms.
