Ryan, thanks for your expertise in this exciting area of Latin American cards.  I’m a fairly new Negro Leagues collector and I find the various Latin issues whether Toleteros or Deportivo or Doble Aguilas as fascinating.  My question is your process and more importantly what you recommend the process should be for a collector like me to find these types of cards?

Hi Aaron,

I think the most important advice I could give would be to be vigilant. Check eBay regularly with whatever search words you use. Look at ALL of the auction catalogs, even ones that don't usually have Negro League items. Sometimes a major auction house will have one or two Negro League lots in one auction, then none for the next three auctions. And of course, there are certain auction houses (I can think of at least one!) that specialize in this material. Also, build relationships with other collectors. Private sales/trades can be one of the best ways to build your collection. Thanks for your question, and good luck on your treasure hunts!
