i sent off a 1971 Topps Nolan Ryan to be graded and it came by with NO Grade. Company said it was not the correct size-it didn't fit the dimension- have you ever heard of this. You guys have a great day!!
Hi Michael, Thanks for posting your question and reaching out to us. Did you send that to PSA or SGC by chance? Quality control on the older cards was pretty lax to say the least so not uncommon in my experience to run across cards that are "factory short cuts" or the converse "factory long cut" cards. Sets like for example the 55 Bowman set was exceptionally poor when it came to measurements. If you line a group of raw ones up, many times they look like a picket fence. If you did not get the card returned with an "evidence of trimming" type of notation then more than likely from my experience, the card just didn't measure up, likely a short cut. Thanks, Steve
