Hi all,
I have put together a really quick Excel file I use to track my Topps collection. I'm not a set builder but still like to keep track of what I have. I figured I might as well attach the file here so others can use it if desired. It's very simple (card # / player name) but does include most variations. You can customize it as needed (to add columns for condition, value, price paid, whatever). Enjoy!
If you are a hardcore set builder, check out these much more elaborate checklists (also in Excel) put together by Mike Philpot. He charges a mere $1.99 each for a really nice full-featured checklist with detailed set tracking and condition tracking pages. You could not build these documents for $1.99 worth of your time : ) (This is not a paid spot--I just saw these and really like them):

This is handy, although it would be nice if the card number name and team were all separate columns for easy sorting and filtering. I'm mostly a team collector, so that's how I would use it. (I know. What do you want for free, right? 🙂 )
Also, it looks like that other store with more detailed Excel sheets is no longer around.
Thanks for sharing these. I started two sets (1960 and 1965 Topps). I downloaded some free templates, but they didn't print well. I still used them, but I'd prefer to have a checklist that prints more reliably. This should make that job easier!
That said, I discovered that set building isn't for me, so I'm going to sell the started sets that I put together. I think they are both ~85% complete, give or take, so I'm sure I can find a buyer to recoup the money that I put into these. 🙂
