What are you actively shopping for currently? Let's connect some buyers and sellers! I'm currently and always looking for a deal on a 1948 Leaf Doby FYI!
I'm looking for a '45 Caramelo Deportivo Raymond Brown - The lower-grade, the better 🙂
@burlssports I'm hunting for an album so I'll keep you in mind if I find one. I'm always looking for a Brown auto--preferably on a Cuban ball . . . : )
I'm just starting collecting vintage and I'm specifically starting with Ernie Banks. I currently only own 3 cards all raw with a lot of love (or creases). I find those cards to be so cool. Anyways if anyone has a hot tip or knows of some lesser known EB cards I'd love to learn more. Right now I'm just watching collection videos on Youtube trying to learn more.
Reggie Jackson and Hank Aaron are my 2 big constant searches.
I was born in 1975 so most of the vintage guys I never seen play outside of watching home run derby reruns with my father or very tail ends of their careers.
most of my targets are Yankee greats or legends, more likely to be someone like Frank Robinson who had a connection to the game as a manager when I was a kid.
@obiwancanubi Hey thanks for posting. The Forum has been QUIET for July as I focused on building up membership. We have some cool stuff planned for August that should bring more eyes to these posts. LMK what Reggies or Aarons you are looking for . . . I have lots of vintage but my "keepers" are mostly Negro leaguers.
Currently looking for a 1953 Bowman B/W Casey Stengel... Any out there in the group, maybe we can work something out...
Lacking a 53 B/W Bowman in my quest to get an assortment of HOFers from 1948 through 1955 Bowman and 1952 through 1980 Topps...
Cardhound members are currently iso the following. Email me at matt@cardhoundvintage.com if you have any of these for sale!
1911 T205 Christy Mathewson (SGC-PSA 2-3) with sharp registration and strong eye appeal. Not interested in blurry examples, especially around his eyes, which tends to make it look like he has four eyes!
1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig (SGC-PSA 2-2.5) with strong yellow and decent centering. It’s a tall task to find both. Don’t mind it being off a bit from left-to-right, as so many are. But don’t want a washed-out example.
1955 Topps Sandy Koufax (SGC-PSA 4-4.5) with strong centering, deep egg yolk yellow, and no print lines.
1. Milt Smith - 1956 Seattle Popcorn 1955-56 Cincinnati red legs postcards, 1961 Union Oil Hawaii
2. Pat Scantlebury - 1960 shopsys maple leafs, 1961 beehive maple leaves
3. Roberto Vargas Toleteros 48 or 49 or 50
4. Bill Greason Toleteros 49
5. Marshall Bridges — 1958 Union Oil Sacramento, 1959 St Louis Cardinals Postcards, 1960 Cincinnati Reds postcards
The other interest is 1951 Bowman. PSA Grade 7 or 8s. Specifically:
Ennis, Majeski, Stanky, Pesky, Crandell, Sauer, Evers, Marion, whitey, Kell, Slaughter, Byrne, Lollar, Miksis, Palica, Kramer, Howell, Erskine, Wright, Sain, Taylor, Adcock
Looking for a 54 Topps Hank. Preferably SGC A or 1. Thank you!!!
Looking for Clark Griffith’s T206 portrait - preferably low-grade and in a tux. Thanks!
