About Andy Broome, Vice President  and Head Sports Card Grader at CGC Cards

If you have been around card grading for a while, you certainly know Andy Broome’s work! He began grading cards in 1999 and has served as lead grader at both Beckett and CGC. Andy is currently the card expert on the History Channel show “Pawn Stars.” He has consulted for and been featured on the Fox Sports “Amazing Sports Stories” television series and has also consulted for the PBS television series “Antiques Roadshow” and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He has authenticated and graded some of the biggest cards in the hobby, including the T206 Wagner.

Let’s Chat Vintage!

So, let’s chat vintage with Andy Broome! Post questions any time, and Andy will be in as available over the next few days to answer, discuss, and chat. We can talk vintage market (oh yeah, Andy collects Pre-War and vintage Japanese and more), technical aspects of grading, AI vs. humans, and CGC in general.
