What is this? We will feature "Guest Expert Forums" from time to time--the idea is that a resident expert or 2 will sit in for a few days for an AMA ("ask me anything")-type-session. We will post bios, links to their current projects if relevant, etc. Then the gates are open--all members can pop in during the event to ask thoughtful questions of our guests. After the session is complete, it will move to an Archive forum where it can live in infamy for future reading.
Rules: The rules are pretty simple: Please limit yourself to one or two good questions per presenter at first, out of respect for everyone's time. If conversation dwindles at any point, feel free to jump back in. The thread will be closely moderated, and redundant questions may be removed. No offense if this happens--again, just trying to respect everyone's time and avoid repetition. Thanks in advance! These should be fun and insanely informative and thought-provoking.

Our guest experts are true authorities on the subject: Paul Reiferson and Graig Kreindler.
Paul is an investor, wealth advisor, and avid collector and is drawn to photographs and objects that tell American stories. His collection of photographs taken by Charles M. Conlon was gifted in part and promised in part to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where it will be exhibited. Other objects from his collection have been exhibited widely, including at the Brooklyn Museum, Bronx Museum of the Arts, American Folk Art Museum, and Tampa Museum of Art.
The Gitterman Gallery will host an exhibition of Paul’s collection titled Jackie Robinson and the Color Line, “which uses photographs and artifacts to vividly narrate the story of baseball’s journey toward integration. The exhibition opens on Monday, April 15th in honor of Major League Baseball’s Jackie Robinson Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and runs through Friday, May 24th.”
Graig is a renown painter, and his work is grounded in vintage baseball photography. He graduated with Honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. His award-winning sports work has appeared in juried shows and museums across the United States, and has been featured in nationally-distributed books, newspapers, magazines, on the Internet and television.
To Graig, no other sport embodies the relationship between generations and the sense of community like baseball. His goal is to portray the national pastime in an era when players were accessibly human, and the atmosphere of a welcoming ballpark was just as important as what happened on the field. He is proud to act as a visual historian, recreating a history that he has never experienced, yet, like millions of fans, maintains a profound connection with.
